KB1104 - 'Incorrect credentials' when verifying servers

If you receive the message "Incorrect credentials to check remote Registry" when verifying remote servers, then the current username running the Rolling Restart® console does not have the necessary permissions. "Incorrect credentials to check remote Registry" is an "Access Denied" with error number = 5.

As an example, if the console running Rolling Restart Console is SRVCONSOLE, and the client running Rolling Restart Client name is SRVCLIENT, do these steps:

Open an administrator command prompt console on SRVCONSOLE

Type this at the command prompt: sc \\SRVCLIENT query

The command should return "FAILED 5: Access is denied."

To resolve, logon with a user that has remote administrative privileges on the remote server. Ideally this is a member of the Domain Administrators group within Active Directory.
