- New feature: Silently install Windows Updates, with no prompts to users! ShutdownPlus now takes advantage of v5 of Windows Update. Administrators can choose to have ShutdownPlus install the Windows Update software, hardware, software & hardware, critical items, non-critical items, critical & non-critical items, and whether to just log, log and download, or log, download, and install the updates. All automatically and configurable through Group Policies.

- New feature: ShutdownPlus now has a command-line interface. Run "sdpauto /?" from the ShutdownPlus folder for the proper syntax. It requires the service to be running.
- New feature: ShutdownPlus TSE now runs with Citrix Published Applications. Programs can now be run after the user closes down the last published application. These programs have to be non-interactive and self-closing, such as the ShutdownPlus built-in programs like "Delete temporary Internet files".
- New feature: Group Policies are now integrated into ShutdownPlus. The administrator adds the included sdplus.adm file to their domain's Group Policy editor and all computers running ShutdownPlus will use the Group Policy settings. Fifteen settings plus seven built-in tasks can be centrally controlled!
