Oct 25, 2002 - Version 5.0 build 1830
- Code changes for assurance that a client
shutdown and/or restart under the Windows NT platform (NT, 2000, XP) will take
place
- Code changes to help a client shutdown and/or restart under the Windows 9x
platform (95, 98, 98SE, Me). Microsoft
put a lot of embedded hooks in the Windows 9x OS platform (95, 95SR2, 98, 98SE,
Me) to make sure the computer shuts down. However, the OS programmers never
exposed the APIs for the developer. Consequently, we cannot go through the same
hooks in shutting down the computer as Microsoft does. We do, however, put as
many hooks in as we can to help make sure the Windows 9x platform computers
shutdown and/or restart as planned.
