Relevos Terminal Server Edition

Relevos TSE controls CPU and memory resources on Windows® terminal servers. It eliminates user delays and ensures no user or processe can consume all of the CPU at the expense of other users or processes.


Relevos addresses the most critical issue concerning terminal server performance: user and application response times. Relevos monitors all running processes and users, identifying those that consume excessive CPU and memory resources, and ensures no user or process can consume excessive CPU or memory resources at the expense of other users or other processes. It accomplishes this with a minimum of overhead so the terminal server can concentrate on serving applications to users. This product is designed exclusively for customers running Citrix® MetaFrame®, Tarantella® Secure Global Desktop®, or standard terminal server.

Advanced Patent Pending Technology
We believe administrators have more important tasks to do besides learning how to use a software product. This is exactly why we designed Relevos with a very easy to use interface. But don't let the simple interface mislead you into thinking that there is no muscle in the software - quite the opposite. Relevos successfully ensures no process or user can cause the server to become unresponsive by implementing the following patent-pending technology, developed exclusively by WM Software:

  •  CPU Throttling™
    Sets a maximum CPU % for any process or service, thereby ensuring no process can consume all of the CPU at the expense of other users or processes. This patent-pending technology was specifically developed for Relevos.
  •  Intelligent Priority Control™
    Modifies and balances the operating system's internal scheduler for thread and process priority. This technology was first developed and used in our ServerGT product released in 1999. Since then, WM Software has refined and optimized this technology for Relevos.

Compatibility
Relevos TSE runs on all versions of Microsoft® Windows® server operating systems, including Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000 Server, and Windows NT4 Terminal Server Edition. Relevos TSE requires the base terminal services to be enabled. Optionally, third-party server based computing software can run alongside Relevos, such as software from Citrix®, Tarantella®, and Jetro®.

  • Relevos TSE x64 Edition is a native 64-bit application designed exclusively for Windows Server 2003 x64
  • The x64 Edition runs more efficiently and has better integration with the Windows Server 2003 x64 operating system. A larger memory model combined with more data per clock cycle allows even tighter control over processes. This is especially important with the potential increase in users compared to the 32-bit versions of Windows Server.

Management
Relevos automatically turns on CPU Throttling and Intelligent Priority Control when installed, so your users experiencing stalls and slowdowns will immediately notice a performance improvement. And not only is it important to control your terminal servers, you may want to know how the load is being distributed on the servers. Relevos records processes and users according to CPU usage, Memory usage, and user sessions. As a separate download, Relevos comes with the Relevos Management System, which is composed of three products:

  • Relevos Management Console
    Using an MMC snap-in, manage remote servers running Relevos and replicate their settings.
  • Relevos Web Console
    Using an web interface, manage remote servers running Relevos and replicate their settings.
  • Relevos Deployment Manager
    Remotely install and uninstall Relevos to multiple servers from one location.
